DEUTSCHE OPER BY BLED
Where to begin with a song that hits you that hard. This isn’t your average release, or ‘good tune’ – it’s a release with attitude, with pure talent, originality and something that genuinely has left me shocked, in the best possible way.
If you’re looking for something new and different to perhaps what you’re used to, goth-pop duo, BLED is about to blow you away.
MESMERISING PERFECTION
Deutsche Oper is next-level, starting off with a sweet drum-beat, followed by a double-hit synth sound, then BLUE’s vocals kick in with a dark and menacing presence, lyrics get inside your head quickly, and just shy of 1 minute in, the chorus kicks in, and its absolute heaven.
It’s a chorus that will stay in your head, but it doesn’t stop there, as just under 2 minutes in a mesmerising and slowed hypnotising sound hits you, and the vocals brilliantly match the music behind the voice. Shortly after, the song dives back into the chorus but with a different tone, before reverting back to the original sound, which is where RED comes in, and the combination is absolute perfection.
EUPHORIC
It’s not very often you find a song, that makes you feel more than simply, ‘this is great’, I’ve had it once at a live gig, which was when I seen James live for the first time, I then had it once where I watched a horror/thriller called Midsommar, and now I’m having the same feeling listening to Deutsche Oper by BLED. It’s like an energy taking over your body and mind, and I feel like that also resembles the direction of BLED. Their music videos are fantastic too, and pairs up perfectly with how the song made me feel.
It’s a phenomenal release, certainly one of the best of 2024, and I can’t wait to see BLED live when I get the chance. You could just picture them at Glastonbury, whether that’s in the greenfields, rabbit hole, or a main stage, they could perfectly fit into anywhere, and I can’t wait to hear what’s next for them.
